I'm going to give it a go when it next goes in, may as well seeing as I bought the extended warranty. If they say it's not covered & nothing serious, I think I will learn to live with it. I have "managed" the noise for quite a while now, so I think I can do so until something actually breaks.
There is a guy on EBay, Tony Banks who does the full service £399 with a choice of tips & 3 different noise levels. I have seen his work at the meets & he does a great job. Only problem for you is that he is in Leeds - sounds like a great excuse for a nice long drive to me :eusa-whistle:

So, you got me intrigued about mine, as I have never really noticed how long it takes as I rarely use the stereo once the car is turned off, so this morning after taking the OH to work, I got my trusty stopwatch app running on my iPhone &.........
Generally speaking, any additives designed to stop leaks, be it in the coolant system or in the oil, are not a good idea. They are designed as a short term fix, but are known to cause long term problems.
They are not recommended for use on any car that is worth repairing properly, and the RCZ...
