I have driven the 156 and 200. I have seen the sport & GT trims. The 200 is noticeably faster than the 156, and the GT trim is better than the sport & second HanD, the price difference will be negligible, so go for a 200GT if you can. The Mk2 2013 on, seems to be quite a bit better on...
I’ve had this issue before with other cars, but not yet with my Z. It’s is often just the fuel pump nozzle that causes the problem, if the fuel foams as it goes in, the sensitive cut off sensor in the nozzle clicks off. If you try not pulling the trigger fully so it goes in a little slower, that...
The best tyre choice for the front would be Michelin PS4s. It is always open to conjecture of course, with some people liking different features of different tyres, but those who have gone for the PS4s like myself seem to think they are the best choice.
I put the PS4s on the front of my 200 last year. Best tyre I’ve had on the car. Grip, braking, noise, all better than anything I’ve tried, including Contis.
Big congrats on the forthcoming addition, and the baby too :wtf:
Shame another Z owner leaves us, but your more than welcome to share some pics of your new ride. Good luck with all your future plans
Until premature retirement, my other drive was a 12.5 tonne Mercedes Fire Engine.
The handling was probably about as good as its acceleration, it was also occasionally embarrassing when attending incidents on the motorway, travelling with blue lights and two tones on, but being overtaken by...
Recently had mine replaced, under warranty thankfully, they originally quoted me £1671 but the invoice to the warranty company was £1590. That was for the full kit, including clutch plate & dmf etc. Labour was the largest part of that.
Can’t really help on the diagnosis, it does sound like clutch related though, not transmission, if it’s done though a Pug dealer it’s going to be in the region of £1600 I’m afraid.
The expiry date shown on this product can be exceeded. The “fluid” in the canister can, overtime, become thicker, and may not work to it’s optimum, but that is not likely until a very long time after the date shown.
However, as has been pointed out, there are alternative solutions, and I would...
Tony Banks in Leeds does a choice of systems for the Z, as think he charges @£399 fitted, but if you search for A Banks I’m sure you’ll find him. I have seen his systems at meets & they are impressive.
The next meet is the annual Yorkshire meet, which is on 19th of this month. You might bee too...
I like that, it’s silly
In the UK that would be more of an umbrella than a parasol, and I don’t give it much hope of staying on the car for long with the wind strength we get.
It does appear to be quite an expensive “solution”. I have seen “half” car covers, that just cover the...
How old is your Z ? Maybe the paint has dulled over time. You could try stripping the car back down to the paint, use something like G3 body prep shampoo which should help to get rid of any surface contaminants, but remember to polish & wax afterwards to give the paint protection.
Don’t even go for the hand wash guys at the roadside. One member on here had his Z dented by them, and they insisted it was dalready there.
Even if they are careful when washing the car, they don’t look after their equipment, some have even been seen “wringing out” their drying leathers by...
Mine was quite infrequent, but as I had the warranty I decided to get it checked out anyway. It was a bit difficult to get the car to actually make the noise while the mechanic was present, in fact it was on 3 seperate visits before it would actually do it.
Then I had to try to get it to repeat...
My car has a service plan, so it’s done by Peugeot main dealers, but I have to top my oil quite regularly.
I did once get the oil level incorrect message @ a year or so after buying the car. Despite the regular servicing, when I checked, the dipstick was dry. :o
I have never had a car use...
