I agree with the above if unsure do a complete oil and oil filter change and use oil you are happy with, that way you know what's gone in and can top up with the same.

I think in the uk they are not supplied with the NG4 System (anymore) the highest spec is rt6. NG4 was supplied in the mk1's and then stopped. Not sure if Europe still have the option of the NG4.

Basically it needs a run with high engine revs to be able to create the temps where the particles are burnt off and blown away with the turbo exhaust gases. Probably 3rd gear on motorway for 5 to 10 miles. I think revs need to be over 3k. Mine (diesel) sits mainly at 1750 revs but is sat there...
