Probably the best place is Peugeot dealership or the gpsunderground.com. The firmware discs are not that expensive I found <£10. I have the RT6 system so I'm not really able to help the the NG4 system.

Is it the 1.6 156 bhp engine you have or the 1.6 200 bhp engine? If it's timing chain issue get in touch with Peugeot UK HQ as it's a known fault with a recall. Since P0342 has been identified as camshaft sensor is the new sensor faulty?

Does that mean you can't get a brand new faulty one?

This is for a 156 engine. Didn't know what engine you have.

Well it sounds that if you contact them you just need to say no you don't have the gunk or even a spare, possibly even saying the compressor is not there either. And when they do come out and they find it just simply say "Oh is it in there?" Worth bearing this in mind when contacting any...
