    Hose off

There is a stub on the under side of the air pipe that it pushes onto, there is a horseshoe clip slightly back that supports it so it doesn’t vibrate off and it should click into place. Push it on by the pipe itself and not the halo, as the halo can break off easily. edit - that would be on the...

Coolant Loss, no heat in car - have I a head gasket or air lock issue ?

It is a pig to do, but once you have it done I truly hope you get the enjoyment of actually driving it. Can’t remember the ins and out, I didn’t touch the hpfp Doing that stat housing. I am slightly biased, but I think they are great handling cars and look fantastic, ps if you think it’s a pig...

Hi From Slovakia my new RCZ

Sensible idea, but while you wait it might help not to read all the bad things there may be with the EP6 engines. Read some of the good things, such as if looked after well how they can go on and on, how tuneable they can be etc.

Car won't start after battery out for extended time

It can be got at reasonably okay, and seen, from underneath on drive on ramps, lift much nicer. Tray off and the awkward thing is that the driveshaft support bearing is right at it. If trying to remove it, it then can be a pig, it’s maybe 6/7” long and as you already know there isn’t much room...

Coolant Loss, no heat in car - have I a head gasket or air lock issue ?

I am fairly sure the one below is for your car, see lower down in the add where it refs the cable, and it’s OE. These guys are very helpful and will check your part to reg So you can be that bit more confident the scraped knuckles will only happen once (Er hopefully)...

Coolant Loss, no heat in car - have I a head gasket or air lock issue ?

Just be hopeful that the crack in the thermostat housing was not there and ignored or missed by PO. Maybe pressure test the system again after fitting the pipe but before filling, only as a vacuum??

Coolant Loss, no heat in car - have I a head gasket or air lock issue ?

The plugs all have little ‘tangs’ to stop them from falling or vibrating out. The little tang lifts away a tiny bit to allow the plug to be gently pulled out. It should be a fight so so long as the tang is clear. ps Change the word tang to clip, latch or whatever. If I get a mo I’ll try and take...

Coolant Loss, no heat in car - have I a head gasket or air lock issue ?

Is there not a lead in the box? With Febi there is. Pic below is just a quick take from the internet. Make you life a little easier and take the air box out completel, you’ll need to take the top of first to allow enough room to get the bottom out twisting and wiggling as you go. The air box...

Coolant Loss, no heat in car - have I a head gasket or air lock issue ?

I am nearly scared to say this, but to date I have no electrical issues other than the driver side mirror took a notion to stutter when folding then couple of days later it stopped. On taking the door card off I found that the cable was unplugged from the door control and the clip that should...

    Wheel Repair or Not?

Ooh ouch, not nice. There are arguments for and against repairs, just be sure to use a good repairer. Hope you get sorted quickly. ps is that a spec of dust on the back of that spoke?? 😜

Coolant Loss, no heat in car - have I a head gasket or air lock issue ?

That kit looks same as the on I got, did my job diagnosing thermostat pipe…if only my kid bro would remember to bring it back. If your white smoke goes away after the car is up to temp it could just be warmup condensation, both my prince engines do it, and they can look a little plumey these...

i have a historic VW, yeah off subject, but I am able to get a ‘birth certificate‘ for it which includes date of manufacture, build spec, options etc etc which got me thinking if Pug do something similar and came across this, might help. There is a section re import/export...

Coolant Loss, no heat in car - have I a head gasket or air lock issue ?

Bet you are slightly relieved. Just to chase down the leak. Torch and mirror time, think everyone has listed the areas that are known to give leaks. Just be methodical, and if you have or can get access to a pressure system it could save you a bit of time.

Can the seller, assuming they are in a dealer supported country, not get something to help you from a dealer their end. Poor Canada, decades of no pugs……….

Coolant Loss, no heat in car - have I a head gasket or air lock issue ?

Yeah main dealers have got wise to giving part numbers out on quotes as they don’t get the sell as people cross ref eBay. There is a seller on eBay that are decent with pugs, and as well as after market they also carry OE parts such as Dayco and pierberg etc, Neo Brothers if you follow the link...

    Hi New RCZ owner ...

You can get a head gasket leak tester, coloured fluid put into a wee S shaped vial thing that plugs into the expansion bottle that will analyse the gases in the bottle and give you a good indication If the head gasket is letting by. With a bit of luck this is not your problem. There are a few...
