I have a puck with a V groove in it that sits in the saddle of my trolley jack. That doesn't seem to have damaged my jacking points as of yet. Even the ones I've man handled back in to shape.

Re: most expensive/ridiculous thing you've bought for your c I had a Rover 420 saloon when I was younger I spent a bit too much on that. Fully adjustable suspension, new alloys, manifold back stainless exhaust, speakers, amp and new head unit. I had a Saxo before that I did pretty much the same...
