According to Service Box there are diesel RCZs with 302 mm front discs and others with 340 mm.
The important thing about brakes is that they stop :)
I would choose material from a recognized brand such as Brembo or Bosch, I have read bad opinions about the MTEC brand
I would change the tensioner, it is not expensive and it is a quick operation.
Maybe the tensioner spring has broken, which is the only thing that tightens until the oil pressure rises.
When you remove the tensioner, about 100cc of oil will fall out.
I forgot to say that I put 5W40 oil in the 156 HP.
I am convinced that the oils in turbo engines degrade a lot and cannot last 30,000 km as the maintenance book says.
They also reduce viscosity to save fuel when in reality a less viscous oil lubricates worse.
This affects many more engines...
I bought my 156 HP with 108,000 km, now it has 138,000 km.
At 115,000 the high pressure fuel pump was repaired, I installed it myself and it only cost me €110.
I also changed the timing chain tensioner.
I think the rocker cover has never been removed, meaning the chain was never changed.
The...
In a video I saw that you can see the carbon deposits on the valves by putting a borescope through the spark plug hole, .... I think I'll buy one on Aliexpress.
I also noticed that vibration at 100-120 km/h as if the engine was jerking.
The problem was the balancing of a rear wheel, it disappeared after going to the tyre shop. Furthermore, this vibration can cause the tyre to wear poorly, with saw teeth.
On YouTube there are many videos on the subject, on THP engines, such as the RCZ, and on other direct injection engines such as TSI, or Ecoboost.
The truth is that with those sprays, looking at the before and after photos, the difference is small, they don't clean much.
Also, if you use something as a lever, insert the lever just a little because if you insert it too far it can break the adjustment motor.
It is best to push the glass from above so that it comes out from below and try to separate it only with your fingers by pulling from below.
Yes, I explained it here : Is it safe to change the Cam Chain Tensioner?
I didn't lock anything
After about 13,000 km since the change, the chain is still silent
I think that changing the tensioner is beneficial, because it is the main culprit, poorly designed, with a small and weak spring.
It worked for me, changing the tensioner ended the rattling.
As the chain starts to rattle, it starts to be ruined, sometimes skipping teeth or even breaking.
I changed the tensioner at 123000km because it rattle a little sometimes about two minutes after starting from cold.
Now with 136000km it never rattles.
I'm not entirely sure but I don't think the chain has ever been changed.
My car is from 2010.
I think you can wait longer to change it.
