Peugeot is a brand that chooses to regularly overhaul the logo. In the 1960s, the classic shield with a heraldic lion was replaced by a shield with only a lion's head. As of 1968, the shield is omitted. The complete lion returns in 1975, but still without a shield. This logo has since evolved...

It fits in place of the other one. Pretty simple as it's fixed, not active. Just need to disable the motor on the old one.

Had it rained a lot prior to finding the wet carpet? Mine did it once, same place, after lots of rain. I assumed it had got in through a door seal. Dryed it out and hasn't happened again so, yeah, weird!

Drive it a bit and it will usually sort itself out. The ECU has detected some sort of perceived fault and has decided to protect the engine by engaging limp mode. If the fault does not appear again in X amount of miles though, everything will be turned on once more for you. 👍

If you are left for dead at the lights by a bog-standard 1 ltr Ford Fiesta... you're in limp mode! :D
