Try your local dealer, I priced a timing chain kit with the guys you priced above, inc sump gasket and oil chain kit when the quote came thru I near snat myself. Inquired at local Peugeot dealer and saved over £100. Every penny needs to count with these cars.
Re the headlights, mind the mk1...
Could be the beginning of motor failure shooting the current way high taking the fuse out.
If it is the fuse and it begins operating again, might be worth giving it a really good inspection for anything that could have fouled it.
Are there any strange noises or codes coming up?
As a couple of things you could check yourself that may have been disturbed during inlet cleaning;
Boost pipe not quite home again, should hear something tho like random whoosh release.
Vanos solenoid connector (standing at the bumper looking...
Looks well Nadzi, may you get many years and miles of enjoyment.
P0012 relates to camshaft timing, remember you are breaking the whole thing in again from rebuild so take it easy on it for a little while.
It would do no harm to pop back to your mech and discuss it with them just to be on the...
Just came into mind, if your handy, why not repair the DRL?
When I got my current RCZ the third brake light had 3 leds out, so I stripped it and soldered in new leds and resistors as missing lights bug the sh… out of me. Have also seen that some guy is now selling the internal pcb all made up...
A handful of years ago ‘laws’ were brought into place to bring back the right to repair in the automotive industry, didn’t help much really.
In the last few months a new ‘law’ has came into play that automotive manufacturers have to start taking a share in the cost of recycling of vehicles...
Tidy looking car, health to enjoy.
Longevity is down to maintenance, most parts cross reference with other Peugeot or Citroens still available so maintaining them doesn’t have to be expensive generally.
And as for those saying the RCZ is for girls, they either havent driven a decent well...
Excellent news NadzI, now you can get on with enjoying it and doing the bits and pieces that you had wished to make it personal.
Once you have a bit of fun, get a few pics of the car on and let’s see it complete.
With the cost involved in rebuilding the engine you want to do your best to look...
It’s because of the aftermarket air intake pipe you have on it, there is nowhere to plug the air sensor into with them.
Yellow circle shows where it should be. Can affect mpg and a few other things, thread link below showing another one ‘modified’ with bits left with no homes...
My money is on the heater matrix (so long as there is no coolant loss, and the car is steady 90deg) as the heater matrix is badly positioned in them, near a 45deg angle and the way they are connected into the water system the coolant is not pushed, basically just using the heat rises theory. Any...
I’ve done same, seat movements work but heat and memory don’t.
I found that the configuration in the BSI configuration is default to;
heated seats = not present
memory seats = not present
Having tried with the scanner I have when I change them to present I get a message something about software...
They all seem to leak at the rocker cover gasket, age and heat cycles seem to go for them quicker than most other engines. It’s a bit fussy to get them off, the other pipes etc in the way first. Just make sure you clean it to a squeak on the cover and the head, no sealant except for the tight...
It’s disengaged when cold, (speeds up warm up time) but as you have 40 miles+ done at a steady 90c so you can tick that off. Mayo staying away on decent runs, so prob just condensation. Monitor oil and water for a few days/weeks and start enjoying.
pics??
broke again after your run of weld and loctite?
There has to be another factor playing a part.
When you are replacing them make sure your are getting the threads as clean as possible, some brake cleaner into the threads and blow out with an airline perhaps. When you torque it, it should be...
There isn’t really much play about the front bumper skin, location tabs near position it.
Couple of pics might help. The red circled grommets/bump stops to the front can be adjusted slightly to lower the bonnet a little to level it with the wings
The bumper has tabs that go through the locating...
