Another dreamer wanting £16,550 for a 60,000 mile car. The driver's seat has a lot of wear.
The red one has had the brakes as an advisory a couple of times. They'll need done. An advert selling on behalf of someone else is always a red flag for me.
Have you looked into selling on eBay or Gumtree?
I checked before for the possibility of picking up a cheap set of wheels to use as winter wheels. I couldn't believe the prices people were selling wheels for.
Beautifully cared for car that hasn't been cleaned inside or out in ages. It's filthy inside. Look at the grime on the stereo and buttons.
The advert claims it has sailed through the MOT every year. Do they not realise people can check and see that's incorrect?
Budget tyres, kerbed alloys...
I had a quick look at the Serious About Salvage. Their car had 86 thousand miles on a video. The car on eBay has 85 thousand miles.
They looked surprisingly similar and the time off the road matched up.
I remember it was sold on eBay when he gave up after so much trouble. It was spoken about on here. There might be more details found with a search.
The brake calipers also look the same. One of them is very white with little red paint left.
The time the car was off the road also would match...
The latest set of pictures miss out showing the issues from before.
My guess is they took it off the market and tried to get some of modifications reversed. The silly looking single exit exhaust is going to put most buyers off.
It sounds like you bought a lemon.
It also sounds like you need to find a good garage and not keep taking it back to the same garage that haven't been able to fix the car.
The discs are 32mm thick when new. 30mm is the minimum thickness.
A lot of Rs come to market when the brakes need replaced. 60% life left is good for a used car.
Some tyres have more rim protection than others, but none will stop wheel contact with the kerb if you brush it with any force. They will get you off with minor touches.
You can get rim protectors, but they look silly and can come off causing more damage. I'd also fear they could mark and...
I've never been supplied with old tyres. Popular tyre brands shouldn't be left sitting in stock. Online retailers like Camskill normally highlight if the tyre has an older DOT.
The Continental Sport Contact 7 and Bridgestone Potenza Sport are both reasonably new tyres to the market. They...
They were refurbished when I bought the car. The dealer had just bought their own lathe to do in-house refurbishments. They applied the lacquer too thick and it chipped. They had to be refurbished again elsewhere. An unnecessary usage of refurbishment attempts.
I've got another refurbishment...
My next bills are coming up. More tyres and a wheel refurbishment.
I noticed Camskill have Michelin Pilot 4s at a very good price. Much cheaper than anywhere else. I had them before and they are very good. Continental Sport Contact 7 and Bridgestone Potenza Sport are the other tyres under...
What is you experience with Peugeot main dealers like?
When I took my car to my local Peugeot main dealer they didn't know what an R was. The younger technicians got the master technician out and he was also unaware.
They had very little experience of the RCZ as they were older and rarely...
