Hi all, so last week had my car in the MD for the essential annual service, wasn’t comfortable due to the fact they simply can’t Jack the R up without damaging it.
Service manager said they are difficult to get on their ramps without scraping the underside plastic under tray.
I actually...
I think that car was broken, with reference to his comment on performance utter crap, I think the car can feel unsettled in certain situations as I have commented on another thread, but that’s the nature of the tuned suspension in my view, which I have got used too the more I have driven the R...
It seems then the plate adds value to the car, the description is probably the shortest I have seen for a car, plus the shortage of pictures is really strange.
Be interested to see what it sells for, wouldn’t mind that plate on mine.
I was told when I sold my last car through classic cars, they were expecting ICE cars in general to depreciate, don’t know whether that was a sales pitch, but I got what I wanted from my sale.
It is sad that we are being forced moving forward, to progress from our pride and joy to perhaps...
Very optimistic if you ask me with electric cars on the way, can’t imagine people wanting an R in the future, maybe a demand for V8’s classic Porsche etc, yes agree with left hookers being worth more.
How about purchase drive and enjoy without the worry about investment or appreciation, it is...
you need to do your homework carefully, a good one without the need to spend money are like hen’s teeth.
My approach was unusual in the way that I had a amount to spend on getting the car where I wanted it to be, but for me I placed more importance on FSH and all receipts and good MOT history...
The Jay Emm review, what a joke, sadly internet full of them, anyone who knows cars would hardly take notice.
To compare with the mini set up ridiculous when one is supercharged the other turbo, in my view he just didn’t get the R, like many obviously can’t appreciate it’s a driver’s car and...
This is why I have changed my mind to sell, my car is too good to give away, plus I think when you step away from a good one you won’t be able to come back.
Not sure I have seen a 4k rise in these though lately, they must have been very cheap years ago …….
Yes I think in France or Europe definitely more desirable, and possibly a good investment, UK definitely not in any shape or form in my opinion, best to buy enjoy and be different.
Australia wouldn’t have a clue where they would go, but must be very nice to own one due to the very low numbers...
Yeah saw that one, good history though on the MOT.
Market is very flat for sure, same old as you say, could it be I wonder a shortage of buyers for these cars as they get older, thus look over priced to potential buyers.
I don’t think it will be long before we see the first batch of sub 10K...
Absolute crap, another you tube video with someone trying to claim they know cars.
If there is a hatred for the RCZ it’s badge snobs, UK is known for that.
Maintenance is key on any car, and so called problems on most cars are brought on by poor maintenance period.
I have always replaced things...
Yes possibly looking at all avenues, Rs are not selling at the moment, so not prepared to let go for nothing as I believe I have one of the best in the country.
Not sure whether this is allowed but selling the above due to the imminent arrival of our first grandchild, we need a bigger car.
PM for full details if interested.
The HDI engine is superb, my wife had one before it got written off, we couldn’t find another good one so we bought the Audi TT TDI, it’s not a patch engine wise on the HDI, there is of course the R model which we still have, but that doesn’t suit all.
Exactly a left hooker has more potential to make money, there is a hatred for French cars in the UK (badge snobs) and simple ignorance sadly, so as said not a good investment to make money here.
Am thinking of selling mine when serviced, circumstances may force me to move on sadly.
Would think rear piston is an easy fix, if siezed replacement will be cheap.
