My timing chain was replaced by an official Peugeot dealer. Later, I changed the rocker cover by myself and found out the chain was branded Iwis. Angry at first, never hear about, later found out it was a really good brand :)
Here you can see my post: Timing chain top guide position and rocker cover
I taped a digital thermometer probe to the top hose of the radiator and checked the engine water sensor temperature with an OBD2 scanner app.
When I start the engine the two temperatures rise together (keeping so probably I have the thermostat valve stuck open.
Last winter the engine was taking...
Yes, I cut the old one near the solenoid valve and the new one near the plastic insert that goes to the passage between inside and outside the motor.
The operation was like a surgeon with a small precision cutter  but in the end the patient is safe :).
I used the shrink tubing with adhesive...
Finally a weekend with nice weather so I took my time to do the job :)!
Friday evening, just back from work, I placed the car on the two ramps, opened the drain plug and let the oil drain for all night. Took the time also to replace the oil filter.
Saturday morning I removed the 16 bolts that...
I think the engineer that designed the motor didn't know where the wheel shaft was going to be when everything was assembled  .
When they started to see that you need to remove everything just to pull out the valve cable they made that reparation kit .
The Peugeot dealer is not...
Thank you so much for all the information :) !
Looks really strange that all the solenoid valve cable and connector is going to stay inside the oil pan with all the oil around o_O.
I'm curious to see how it will be on my car. If I do not have this reparation kit modification already present I...
I'm happy that you solved the issue and that you didn't have to remove half car :).
Not really clear to me what you did with this repair kit . Please check my wonderful draw/collage:p and see if I understood correctly:
Yes, exactly the same symptoms and pressure values. I think I did already more than 5000 km (example to don't follow) but as I wrote I'm always waiting that the water temperature heats up and the oil pressure decrease a little. Constantly driving with the App open. At 60 km/h I'm already in 6th...
No, I'm still waiting for warmer days because I want do the job by myself. In the meantime, I'm always accelerating slowly keeping the oil pressure under the 7 Bar and waiting that the oil warms up. I can still drive 100Km/h (max speed limit in the Netherlands).
If the purple is just a light reflection on the gray it should be nice. But with the gray, al the chrome must be deleted :).
Nardo gray with black aches and black rims should be really nice ;).
Original is Purflux and you can find it also not PSA.
Check this thread: Original Oil filter brand
But in the end I don't think there is nothing wrong with a good brand one.

 not really my favorite
My favorite is Nardo gray :) , more a serious color.

😁
I just removed from the engine and I tested the aftermarket pressure sensor I bought last week.
At 0 BAR it gives 0.7 Volt (VS 0.8 of the original one)
At 4 BAR it gives 2.24 Volts (VS 2.44V of the original one)
For now I will use the aftermarket one so the ECU read less pressure 😅.
I'm curious...
