I deactivated the system and had the valves changed on my first 407 after 1 decided to snap off on the way to a holiday. A tyre deflates pretty quickly when that happens.

From memory, the Rcz shares a lot of parts with the 308.

On an unrelated subject, and not to derail the thread. I'm originally from a place very close to Watton called Ovington. A very long time ago.

I don't know if the R has different coil packs, but I replaced one on my 200 and it was about £25. I also had Diagbox, which having owned numerous Peugeots, more than paid for itself.

OE head units are vin coded. So if you get one you will need a way to do that. Hopefully the original wiring hasn't been chopped about.

Other things to consider - brake size, suspension components - anti roll bar stiffness for example.

The NG4 in my rcz used to do this. It would run fine for a while then restart. One day it went off and never came back. I opened it and there was burnt wires inside. No idea what caused it, but it clearly wasn't happy. I replaced it with one from a scrapped 5008.
