Likely asked before but is it worth putting on a new tensioner, effectively as a service item? I have a 2015 156 with 33k miles.
I've just had it serviced using all oe parts and the correct Total oil. Last service before I bought it was 2k miles ago. I'll be changing the oil after 4 or 5k...
I think the best option is the ineos 0/30 but as importantly change it frequently. I'll go no more than 3 or 4k miles or annually but given I've done 200 in miles since November annually for me.
Except another thread on here says peugeot revised it and ineos 0/30 should be used.... Mine going for oil change next week with that bought... Got me concerned now!
I wasn't looking for an rcz. At all. I was on the hunt for something cheaper to run than my 3.0 subaru. Fiat pandas etc, but somehow the rcz ended up with me. So not really meeting the brief! VAG stuff will never be on the radar. Was a bit tempted by the skoda superb estate but they rust just...
Yeah. That really gets on my..... Nerves! I've had 70 odd cars over the years. Without lying, the worst have been the one BMW and a merc. The Italian and French stuff were mostly very reliable. For me the rcz is an occasional toy. I'm well aware of the potential fragility but in turn I intend...
I'm not sure any rcz, other than the R, will have future values worth much. There's too much fear over the known weaknesses. And in the uk at least, if it ain't German, it's crap. Which we know is rubbish but the general market still seems to fall for it.
