Brake Pads - Whats Everyone Using?

Ended up with factory pads and discs as it was slightly cheaper than shipping parts from the UK. The factory discs are Brembo discs, and I haven't checked out the pads enough yet to find the OEM Manufacturer - I was going to do it later.

    Oil top up

These engine do burn oil, its pretty common for the mini folk that use the same engine. It's roughly 1 ltr per 3000km is what we average and its what I've also read on the mini forums.

Brake Pads - Whats Everyone Using?

Yeah, i'm only looking at the pads at the moment as shipping disc's to NZ is killer! I'll end up just grabbing the Brembo OEM disc's as it's basically all i can get here without stupid shipping costs. We don't have Black Diamond over here and never heard of them before this site - whats...

    Hello from New Zealand

Sorry man, no idea about the head units. We did just have that lovely coolent leak from the thermostat housing issue. The replace housing and the wiring loom extension came to a little over $1200 nzd including labour.

    braking contrast

I've found that so much depends on the pads. I've had massive variations of feel and initial bite with different pads in the same car.

    Diffuser fins.

The defuse in our cars is really just for looks. There isn't any real be if it to having it that would be noticeable really. The car and driver article missed one other function of the diffuser on road cars is to meet the turbulent air coming off the roof and push the vortex further away from...

    Diffuser fins.

If I had a set I could 3d model them up so people could 3d print their own. It wouldn't be hard and would be very cheap to make.
