As most of us are aware at the moment there are over 880,000 hand crafted ceramic poppy's being planted in the moat at the tower of london. But did you know you can (post nov 11th) own one of these amazing items.

25 quid each plus p+p and you can order more than one if you wish with a good portion going to charity.

ive ordered three one for me my wife and the little un to go somewhere special at home.

these are a piece of history and being ex-service myself its something close to my heart.

Im off to see them closer to the time and will be lowering my head and shedding a tear or two i expect.

Saw them in the newspaper this morning so I've popped in an order too. Very good idea and a beautiful tribute to those who have given so much for us

I hadn't heard anything about this but think that it's a fantastic tribute and I'd quite like to get some for the school that I work in. My direct line manager is a former serviceman and now a corporal in the TA. I know that he'd appreciate this and it'd be a fitting memorial within the school's history dept. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the post. I had been wondering when and how to purchase these, as my Grandfather served in the First, at Ypres and other places and my father served in the Second, Middle East and Burma. So I have ordered Three, one each for them and one from me for all those who have served past and present.

Just received this
We are absolutely delighted to announce that the ceramic poppies from the installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red have all been sold.

To date over 860,000 poppies have been delivered to their new owners. We are making the final few UK deliveries over the next week, with all international deliveries expected to be completed by the end of April.

A project of this size and scale has been both rewarding and challenging. We are grateful for your patience while the poppies were being delivered.

Each of the service charity partners has received a staggering £1.2m and you can find out here how they are already using this money to help their causes. We anticipate that this figure will rise even further once we complete our accounts.

The project officially comes to a close on 10 April 2015
