For a shorter run from Aberdeen go North to Fraserburgh then along the coast, visiting all the little fishing villages. Pennan, Gardenstown, Macduff, Whitehills, Portsoy and Cullen. The back through Keith and then Aberdeen. You dont get the Hills but the harbours are different and its a great road.

I can vouch for that Applecross .... can get some lovely car shots down at the harbour in Cullen/Portsoy/Gamrie. Gorgeous wee restaurant on the harbour at Gamrie but you MUST book.

Anything else mainland but further north that you can think of that is worth a run from Aberdeen? Preferably one that I can do in a day...minus the wife!

Don't miss me out!!!

....I've been over the 'ba in the RCZ.....B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L..........

I've got to go to a meeting in Strathdon tomorrow, cracking chance to let the Vixxer stretch his legs having been cooped up in the city the last week. Are you heading to the Alford Speedfest? Could be a chance for a cheeky pre Speedfest run...?

I'm in...but don't do ice cream so I'll just have to get a jar mix up or summat. Also those Cullen ice-cream's are the size of the average adult's head!

Yup, I'm definitely going to head along. I may head along with some of the car groups that I'm a member of but might just fly solo. I'm intrigued by their new drag thing that they're doing instead of the head to heads. Can't really see how that'll work on an oval.
