Not in any way trying to do the job of the medics, but ...
In our medicine cupboard armoury, is the "magic" cream Germolene.
It is a mild antiseptic, but is (I believe) unique in that it incorporates a local anaesthetic.
Whether a thorn or small cut or abrasion, the stinging is stopped.
Brill' stuff.
Just my two penneth, and trying to help, for a change.
