White smears on black arches

I polished my arches with the same polish as the car when I polished it but its obviously not buffed off properly as now white smeary marks after its rained. How do I get the arches back to normal?

I'm sure I read it was fine to polish the black arches?

Any advice appreciated

No you can't polish the black roof arches as they are textured. Like black trim you get on cars - if you get polish on them and you don't remove it, it leaves white residue marks.

Peanut butter, a rubber eraser or glass cleaner will remove the white marks :)

Once you have got the white marks off, wash them down with shampoo and water and then seal them with a good quality wax or sealant. I sealed mine with Gtechniq C1.5.

Great tip with the rubber!!! All the white is now off!! Glass cleaner no good and peanut butter is for eating! Lol

I'll give them a good wash when I clean the car, I need a few bits so will look for the sealant
