Whine from engine bay.

Hi all. This past few days i have a very noticeable whine / whirring sound from below the bonnet of my THP200. I know it is not chain related as that was all replaced in December of last year so could it be alternator or water pump possibly? The noise is more prominent when the engine is cold and eases when the car is up to temp but it is still there. Any ideas where to start diagnosing? Thanks

Water pumps are a known issue but it could be alternator bearing etc you need to get it up it the air to hear if from under the car ?

Also, check your oil level to make sure you have plenty in there
