I'm a new owner of a rcz 1.6 gt 200bhp 2011 and I'm loving it, but It's developed a fault with the oil pump solenoid valve, its throwing up a fault code and so I'm just going to replace the whole unit" the oil pump and valve" and I'm about to tackle this when it gates a bit warmer and i was wondering if anyone on here can advise which brand of oil pump to go for.
there are a few I've looked at such as the Pierburg, but I'm a bit confused as to which is best, i want maximum reliability as my backs long gone and don't want to have to be doing it again lol.
also, should i renew the drive chain and sprocket that connects to it.
ive not opened up the sump yet so im unsure what brand has been fitted from new.
have i been unlucky or is this a known problem ?
any help will be great.
