I hate scissor jacks, simply dont trust them
I bought an hydrauliic trolly jack from Halfords for £30, fits under the RCZ just fine. its a basic trolly jack nothing special, up to 3 tonne in weight
Its small enough to fit into a "boot holdall" if you want to carry it in the car.
Argos do a torque wheel brace, page 456 item 6, £24.99.
Cheers jactac

Go you two and get a Room....... ;)

My dealer took Pearl2 away on Tuesday and has returned her this evening all repaired. I shall have to wait until Saturday to view it in the daylight. What a service I receive from this dealership. The jack has been returned to Peugeot Uk for inspection and as yet the dealer has not charged me for the repair, instead choosing to await the decision from Coventry.

I have an aluminium version, that seems to fit better looking at your images. 7mm gap and 10mm deep

I would advise everyone to not lift the car with the jacking points on the sill, use your chassis! i have made this mistake too few many times. also, if you take a trolley jack high enough you would be able to take both wheels off on that side

also i could try and get some pictures for you tomorrow on my car!

The ones on the forum are made from Hockey Pucks  Then machined ,The slot will be approximately 19mm wide by 17mm deep as standard.

As a result of the problems experienced with removing my wheel, I will upload photographs of my solutions to this problem.

The Wheel positioning Posts are Peugeot Part Number PT671709 They cost me £7 each including VAT they will avoid dropping the heavy wheel onto your brake disc causing possible damage to your Alloy wheel and also aligns the wheel bolt holes up correctly when refitting the wheel. I bought two but have found that one works better.

Really good post RON and a well thought out solution. I never even knew those wheel removal posts existed but they're a good idea. Who made up the discs for your jack? You should market that!

I'm not bold enough to remove the wheels on my RCZ but I can definitely see the sense in your creation. Well done!

My Brother-in-law made the disc up, it prevent any possibility of anything slipping. He will make them for anybody that may be interested. However I think that a lot of people have gone with a modified Ice Hockey Puk. I'm not too convinced that they would be strong enough and may split. The version that I saw had a very wide gap too, whereas mine is a snug fit.

Result is that I can now remove my wheels on a whim to give them a good old clean and seal, without any worries  The torque wrench that was given as a present means that they will be re torqued to the correct level.

I went down the hockey puck option and it seemed to work fine. I made the slot a lot narrower than the ones in detailing world. It has the advantage of having some 'give' to support the whole sill. I could see it getting a little deformed over time but it only costs a couple of pounds to make a new one if need be.

I take it you're using an axle stand once the car is lifted?

Not got around to axle stands as to be perfectly honest I wouldn't know were to place them safely and so am relying on the jack to perform and not fail

Trolley jacks and scissor jacks . . . tried them both with same result . . . . crumpled jacking points!!
I don't trust them any more so will let the professionals chanhe the winter/summer wheels (denmark).

Hi Ron. Can you recomend a suitable wheel brace.
I've ordered a low profile trolley jack also I'm getting one of the sill supports turned in work out of aluminum like the one in your photos. Many thanks Ian.

Just wait until your trolley jack arrives, as the jacking handle on mine, doubles as an excellent wheel brace, perfectly shaped and all.
