Whats In Your Bag ?

So I'm having a bit of a sort out of my car cleaning products, some have been in my kit for years and are destined for the bin.

If you're anything like me you've probably spent a small fortune on keeping your car looking it's best. :crazy:
So out of your mass collection of car care products in your kit, and if you had to pick just one product that would always be at hand what would it be :eusa-think:

For me it would be a simple choice....IRONX.......... :thumbup:

Yep as simple as that. Never heard of it until I came on here , (RCZ1) :beer:
I think this is fantastic stuff, maybe because owning a white car you can see it perform exactly as it says on the tin. No hassle, no rubbing or buffing, just spray on and hose off, great stuff.

Maybe some owners will pick a polish or a wax ect, but for me Ironx is something that I would always want in my collection. It just seems to keep the paintwork looking like new after a quick spray then a wash.

We might find "The Perfect Cleaning Kit" by picking just one favourite product.
So whats your one choice :?:

I'm fairly new at cleaning the RCZ but I've raided our DFS leather care kit and stolen a load of leather care wipes and leather softening cloths. Bob on they are. Looking forward to picking some care tips up from this thread. Cheers.

I've had my Z about 2 months now and when I got it I researched the best polish/wax available for price paid. Auto Express rated Turtle Wax Ice as the best available so I ordered some off Ebay which was half price of Halfords. It turned out to be really easy to put on and get off without any residue and the results were fantastic so that would be my 1 item.
However I'm intrigued about this Ironx? Anyone got anymore info about it ?

I'll second ironx can't have a white car without it unless u've a thing about white cars with rust spots on it, and gtechniq C1 once u've it on u only have to wash the car no more waxing or polishing makes me happy

I'm finding it really hard to answer this question, there are so many products that I will probably always use but to narrow it down to one, is nigh on impossible.

For me, it would be between Valet Pro Advanced Neutral Snow Foam (but used as a pre wash in a chemical sprayer rather than a snow foam) because it's cleaning abilities are second to none. THE best Pre wash I have ever used. It leaves the car 90% clean without even washing it. It also means that you've removed the worst of the grime and grit therefore reducing the risk of scratching your car when you come to physically wash it. You can dilute this down to 1:30 or use it neat. Even at 1:20, which is how I use it, it's cleaning powers are very impressive AND it won't remove your wax or sealant. It can also be used as a wheel cleaner too so it's 3 products in 1.

The second product would be Gtechniq G1 rain repellant. It lasts up to 2 years or 20k miles. You apply it and then forget about it then when you are driving in the rain, the water just sheets off the windscreen. You don't realise how good this stuff is until it starts to fail then the water doesn't clear and you have to use your wipers more, which I hate.

No doubt RCZ1 will pull another blinder out of the bag. To be honest, many many of the products that I have fallen in love with have been suggestions or recommendations from our Queen of detailing!!! RON also knows quite a bit on this topic I think.

I picked Ironx because it's just so simple to use, and really does work.
How many times do we buy products that look and sound the dogs dangly bits but just fall short, but with Ironx it works every time.

In fact I dont know of another product that does what this does :eusa-think:

Theres 1000's of waxes and polish's out there but not any thing else that I know of like Ironx, it's a goodun :thumbup:

Probably is something under another brand :eusa-think: .

I know that Auto Finesse do a similar product, called 'Iron Out'. However, I've never used it and think that they just piggy backed the product after the success of Iron X. Iron X is great stuff and I have you, Mac and RCZ1 to thank for introducing me to it.

There are other products on the market like Iron X. Carpro Trix is one, the Auto Finesse one that mrizzle mentioned and others. There is also a snow foam that you can get now that contains Iron X

Does an amazing job of getting tar and sh!t off .... no need to clay if it's been used. Never felt my paintwork so silky. Now that councils only use 'tarry chuckies' to fill potholes, I find the car is constantly covered in tar. Use this almost
every wash.

Ok...I've had a think and there are a few products that I'd really want in my bag. However, limiting myself to just one then it'd be Auto Finesse's "Citrus Power". It's not the cheapest of products but it is awesome. I used it the other day just on the lower parts of the panels and left to dwell for a few minutes before power washing off. I hadn't washed my car for months due to ill health (you may have seen the state of the car in the "dirty pics" thread). However, after this stuff you'd have thought that I'd detailed the car thoroughly. Here's a link to a video to demonstrate what it does:

I may change my mind after some of the new products I've ordered arrive and I have had a chance to test them fully. A couple that I have tested briefly seem pretty awesome. Chemical Guys V7 hybrid sealant appears impressive as does the Dodo Juice Supernatural Micro Prime. The one that I am really looking forward to trying is Bouncer's "Satsuma Rock" wax which is supposed to be awesome!
