Mine was a 1980 Peugeot 505. Ended up with 660k+ on the clock. Was absolutely bulletproof.

Mk1 Mini 1000 Paid £400 then a month later needed new sub frame - cost £480 :eek:

Nissan Sunny 1.5 GL. The car Clarkson hates :) But I loved it.

First car was a 1988 Nissan Sunny 1.6 GSX Or GLX i cant remember for a 1988 it was well equipped with power steering and electric windows all round!!!

Bloody hell!! I don't think the RCZ could manage 660k! Your lucky if you get to 66k without any major problems! That's progress for you. :eusa-think:

1982 Vauxhall cavalier. Had another 2 after that including the Sri 130. Bloody loved that car. But not the fuel consumption, that at that time was 40.2 a litre !!!! Mpg was eye watering being a so called 'boy racer'.

1969 ford cortina mk2 1300l in ermine white - no pas now servo brakes no elec ignition/windows nor central locking 2 door paid £300 sold it 2 years later for £250 rbt871g long since gone I believe

1976 Trimph Dolomite 1850 HL - twin carb automatic.
Learnt lots about car maintenance on that one & terrifically comfortable.

Like driving an armchair!

Mine was a 1955 Hillman Husky, side valve engine, and before someone posts a wisecrack I did not buy it new. In fact I did not buy it, my elder brother gave it to me. When I sold it, believe it or not it was used in a robbery. I had to pick the guy out from the mug shots held by the police. :crazy:

Mine was a very rusty 1000cc Fiat Panda. Bought for £100 and modified with a new tape deck, 6 speakers, new wheel trims and filler and mesh.
