and could bee a recall

Hopefully not..... Peugeot (themselves) taking the car away tomorrow lunchtime to try to assess what went wrong. Supplied with RCZ courtesy car as well!
I just hope that they can put it down to a faulty unit and it is one off incident.
Will update everyone on this........

Thanks for keeping the updates coming Baddogbot.

Interesting progression, although I would imagine that you would prefer to be reading about it rather than going through it.

Hope you get all sorted / fixed up soon
Useful if you are able to find out how much the final repair bill is.
I wouldn't fancy funding this sort of incident after the warranty has expired  :helpme:
Not another reason to get rid of this car before the warranty is up

My local dealer told me about a woman who was going down the motorway slip road and hers did exaclty the same thing.

Any more news on this one - presume she was driving an RCZ ??

Hi Gorwell.
Updates in due course.......
Apparently the vehicle involved in the slip road incident has been repaired (by whom/and who paid i don't know yet) but it was the cartridges that went off...

Yes, well flagged up Ron.

I had COMPLETELY forgotten about this episode in the RCZ's history.

What was the final outcome Baddogbot :eusa-think:
Hope everything was sorted satisfactorily  and you're back on the :auto-car:

OK. The final chapter..........
Currently driving around in a 61 plate direct replacement for the 11 plate car which I had my "problem" with.
At no cost to me whatsoever!
Very well looked after by Peugeot UK, cannot fault them at all.....

Thanks for the update baddogbot, I wouldn't fault Peugeot at all for that. I bet your old one is on its way back to the lab at Peugeot HQ to undergo a very gory and detailed autopsy right now!

I truly hope so - and doesn't end up on some Peugeot Garage Forecourt without being fully rectified

Hi Gorwell. Sorry it took so long to update but been mad busy with the classic car brake system's!! (and i do mean busy !)
That particular car won't be finding it's way onto any forecourt ever.....
It has already had it's autopsy............ :eusa-think:
It's a real pisser though because it had about 6 layers of auto glym on it and was very nice! (Bastard electronics!!!!!!!!!)
Can't praise MOST of the staff at Peugeot UK highly enough for the way in which they dealt with me especially R****** & A*** & S*******
Anyhow all's well that ends well (for now!)
Carry on enjoying your RCZ as they are all worth it and don't worry!
Any more info needed then pm me...... ;)
