What is the roof?

Gave my car an HD wax yesterday, but wasn't sure what to use on the roof, so rather than a hard wax, I used Turtle Wax Ice Synthetic Polish.

After it had dried to a haze and I came to buff it off, it was acting more like it does on glass than paint!! I can't tell whether the top layer is glass or just VERY shint paint. Came up good in the end, but took more buffing than normal.

I also used it on the pillars.

I thought it was just normal black paint, if so it's a colour you need to work hard on to get the right shine. On mine it's the same colour as the rest of the car - charcoal, I've not polished it yet but will do later.

I use Windowlene right accros from front window to back, the roof comes up lovely

(oh and the arches too)
