Yep, the RCZ has been removed from the official Peugeot website and now resides on a 'Past Models' page:

The Peugeot RCZ was one of our most striking and loved models and was produced between 2010 and late 2015.

This unique coupe with it's distinctive 'double-bubble' roof won a cult following and was showered with motoring awards during its lifetime, including five consectutive 'Best Sports Car' crowns in Diesel Car magazine’s 'Car of the Year Awards between 2010 and 2014 and Top Gear's 'Coupe of the Year' award in 2010.

It also became a Hollywood movie star, featuring in the film Focus, starring Will Smith and made regular appearances in two British soaps - Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

In addition to the RCZ Coupe, a number of special editions were produced, including the RCZ Red Carbon, the RCZ Asphalt and the RCZ Magnetic. 2013 also saw the introduction of the RCZ R, a more powerful, performance-oriented RCZ with 270 bhp, making it the most powerful Peugeot ever made.

The last Peugeot RCZ rolled off the production line in November 2015 and will not be replaced because, frankly, we're a bunch of mad fools whose mothers were hamsters and fathers smelled of elderberries. I am the walrus, goo goo g' joob.

Peugeot's decision to stop making the RCZ ranks up there with decommissioning Concord, showing "Triangle" as a soap on ITV, and latterly, leaving the EU. :helpme:

They do have the 308 GTI, but seriously, put it in a line up with the usual suspects, Golf R, Astra VXR, etc etc & is it going to jump out at you and hit you in the face with a wet fish? I do t think so. :crazy:

The RCZ was a one off, it will probably never be bettered by Peugeot, and I know that I would have bought a new one when the time came. :eusa-whistle:

There are a few concepts in the pipeline that look interesting, but I doubt they will have the b@lls a second time round to actually produce one. :eusa-think:

Maybe Jeremy Clarkson was right after all. :eusa-shhh:
