WATCH YOU BADGE !!!!!!!

Apparantly the RCZ badge is becoming a bit of a "collectors" item for spotty, thieving, scum scallywag tossers, with nothing better to do other than hack away at the badge and pinch it .

If you recall a number of years ago the VW badge was also being hacked off cars for "collectors" . I had my Scirroco grill badge taken twice

A friend of a friend who's husband is a traffic plod has told her that "badgeing" is starting to creep back in some areas, and as there arent too many RZC's on the road yet the badge is a bit of a prized catch.

Apparantly it is getting so bad in some towns and cities that the plods are having to stake out car parks at shopping centers and cinemas ect.
So be warned , watch that badge !!

Not a right lot you can do though is there. If you start to think like that it will diminish the pleasure of ownership. Enjoy the car and take your chances. Lets face it the law of average is on our side. What are the chances of a spotty, thieving, scum scallywag tosser being in the same vicinity as an RCZ? After all we keep reading on this forum about there rarity

I think it is such a bad and sad thing to do.

i know one of my mates was really unlucky in 1 week his dads Mercedes Benz badge was cut off off the bonnet and half of his badge on the side for saying the version of his Citroen C2 was stolen (forgot what it was) but they were bad at it and only managed to take half of it.

The worse I saw was in the Ferrari Museum in Fiorona (if I spelt it correctly) next to the track and the factory there was a Ferrari 575 Super America sitting there and someone had taken the prancing horse off the back of this rare ferrari which I couldn't believe someone did that to such a car in a museum especially one in the same village as the car was built in

Agreed, not a lot you can do to stop scum from getting their sick fix, but i guess you can limit the chance of this type of thing happening if you wise up and realise that there people out there who just do not care for anyone or anything.

I would love to be in the position to be able to just lay back and think "oh well if it happens so what, i'll get another badge, i'm a mellow sort of chap with deep pockets"

LIKE F***K I'M MELLOW WHEN IT COMES TO THINGS LIKE THIS !!!!

Thing is, i work effing hard for my money , nobody gave me the money for my car, so the last thing i want is some f****r vandalising it just for kicks and a poxy 3 letter badge.
Then again after a shitty 14 hour shift trying to make some money to pay for a car with a nice shiney badge, it would be rather nice to find some scum on my drive oggling my badge, i can think of a number of ways to let out my stress on this decent chap who is out trophy hunting.

As for the law of average , well i've been done twice already, so i'm guessing that the odds are not in my favour.

Also not all RCZ owners have the privalage of living in swanky tree lined, well to do "vicinity", in fact i never realised that you had to live in a well to do "vicinity" to own an RCZ.

Me, council born & bred, and proud of it too. After all i got an RCZ to show for it.
MY motto, "You can look but just dont touch it"

I think I will not have that problem as mine is already debadged.

The scum bags might think someone else has beat them to it.

At least if the whole cars goes you can claim on your insurance, but when someone causes a bit of damage to the paintwork trying to praise off your badge its not worth going through the insurance because of your no claims, so it's your hard earned money out of your own pocket that you have to use to put things right, just because some tosser gets kicks and a few quid for your badge to buy 20 fags.

Anyway lets hope this dont happen to anyone, and as 0058RON says, try not to worry and just enjoy the car.

I can relate to your comments jactac but cannot see the point of thinking about "what may happen" I too work incredibly long hours (72hrs this week) and like you have never been given anything from anybody. So my car is my baby and would be devastated if she was damaged. But, there ain't a damn thing that we can do about it, so there is no point in worrying either. Simply spend more of our hard earned money to get it put right if the unlikely was to occur

If the worse does happen, you can always replace it with a posh 2 letter badge :eusa-whistle:
Don't think anyone would nick that one

Oh, I thought that was the criteria, it was on the Salesman's List of Random Questions ;)
Maybe that was just so that Peugeot would know where to send me lots of literature through the Post on the Peugeot RCZ and how I really should go and Test Drive one. You've already sold me one you Muppets :brickwall:

Only joking Jactac. Hopefully, none of us will suffer this scurge. Thanks for flagging it up.
