Well if you have a dark interior you'll achieve a uniformed look with the visual classic film anyway Hun , a lot of tint shops will tell u you can't have anything on your front windows but that will be because they don't have access to the 70% films , cheaper film suppliers only go to 50% which means there not using the "premium grade" films out there. Most are trying to maximise there profits which is understandable these days but it means you may have to make a few calls , but hey ho , so what ..... To help u in your quest fair maiden look for a tint shop that uses "suntek film" that's a range that has the legal 70 in it ....... If all else fails you'll have to pop up to Nottingham to me my lady

Cheers Lainey!! I may well have to arrange to pop up to you, j27 isn't that far from me.....how long does it take and could I wait while you did it? Like the idea of the glass coat too on yr website!

Well people the saga continues.....................................

Friday- Got car from garage looking lovely driving fantastic.

Saturday - Drove 189 miles to parents house in the midlands, refuelled, pulled out of garage EM light came on and splutter splutter. Limped to parents called green flag. they came out and car was ok so they reset the em Light all ok

Sunday - Drove 210 miles home to North Yorkshire, refuelled. then it started. Fuel pissing out under car, it ran for about 8 mins and lost at least a gallon of fuel. fire brigade turned because my car flooded the forecourt with unleaded fuel, green flag called again.
Finally got to start car after fuel stopped pissing out etc "splutter splutter" EM light on again.

So its now back in the garage again. There may be a recall on RCZ 200's with reference to this fuel leak as found out it did it in the midlands to but i didnt see it (fire hazard/explosion hazard as its near the exhaust)(looks like it could be a fuel tank NRV breaking down)

So Im very pissed off and lost all confidence in my RCZ now

Owned it a WEEK seen it for 2 DAYS, break down call out TWICE fire brigade call out ONCE

Very pissed off bunny :eusa-think:

So the saga continues.............................................

I hadn't stopped smiling.....until the screw in the tyre today episode!

I can understand you losing confidence but hopefully this is a glitch that can be sorted and then everything will be ok. Sounds as though it could be a common fault? Lets hope the garage doesn't muck about and you are reunited with your car very soon.

Keeping everything crossed (although bit tricky driving with crossed eyes!)

Hope the little girl is going to be ok after all this. Still not confident about having her back thou after all this.

I may have donned you all with a recall at some point too  over this matter.

Hi Diggerd,

Thanks for that mate, had a look but that was refering to a pipe, this leak on mine is from a hole which looks like it could be the air intake for the fuel tank to allow air in as the fuel is sucked out of the tank. I think it could be an NRV gone rogue but the problem is with peugeot. Still doesnt explain the EM light and the tractor miss firing noise :(

Latest update - Still on going more pictures have been taken. But the garage are absolutely superb and have told me I can hang on to the RCZ they have given me until its sorted.

Best dealership I have ever brought a car off, the people are really professional and not like your standard give us all your money dealership, they seem to really care

Good morning all,

Well its been 5 weeks now and still no car :(

Can I just say that peugeot have issued a message on the radio about the fuel leak I had on my RCZ.

They are now awaiting the technician from France still, I would be expecting that you will all be getting a recall through the post at some point from Peugeot reference the fuel leak problem ive had.

It does have a potential to cause a fire or explosion under the right circumstances.

If you want to test your car yourself for this fault, fill it full until you get one click on the hose gun then have a good look underneath for fuel pouring out of the charcoal filter housing............... believe me if you have the problem you wont miss it

So the saga continues........................ on the plus side I have put 1500 miles on my courtesy RCZ now instead of mine.

regards

Hi J Welcome

I too feel the pain of waiting and yes it is like going through the run up to xmas day as a kid all over again, never thought i'd feel like that again. I guess thats what you get when waiting for such a dream of a car. Like you were, I'm just waiting for my phone to shout out to me. I still have a good week to wait, hope it come in early. Mine is Dolphine blue 1.6 2011 auto (my last car was an auto couldn't go back to manual) only 8k on the clock. I can't make the May meet but hope to see you all on another one. Happy RCZedding!!

Dencole,

I'm here hoping that you dont have the same problems as me.

Ive owned the car for 5 weeks and driven it twice.

Ive got an RCZ courtesy car brand new (63 plate) which ive done 1500 miles (it had 63 miles on the clock when i got it off them) now whilst waiting for my machine to come back. Its done nearly a third of my cars miles (7100 in 3 yrs)

good luck
