VVT solenoid on 1.6 THP156 (2014)

Hi there. Anyone know definitively which VVT solenoid should be fitted to my 2014 156? After what I thought was thorough research I bought Delphi part V7587760, but on removing the defective one (a complete PITA by the way) it has a different reference: V7604292. They appear identical except that the latter only has the middle set of holes encapsulated by the mesh ring, whereas the one I bought has mesh rings covering all three rows of holes. Getting contradictory info off the web and some suggestion that a Peugeot bulletin amended the correct one, but if so I don't know which one is the most recent. The refit process is too involved to just plonk the new one in and give it a try. Any help gratefully received thanks

The defective one I have taken out is on the left V7604292, and the one I bought to replace it on the right V7587760 (looks older cos second hand).

You should've just bought a new solenoid for 60£, that second hand part is going to fail eventually. The one with the mesh covering all the holes is the newer version.

Thanks for the info I would have bought new, if I was sure that the solenoid was my problem. As it happened, the one I took off passed all tests, as did the one I bought, so glad I didn't spend £60 on a new one. In the end I did use the one with mesh covering all holes.

Oil services are equally important that's why these types of components develope a death rattle when shit gets in the top end
