If you mean the dark reflectors inside the light unit euro parts were selling these once but you could spray tinted them yourself or get them wrapped like I did then you never have to bother about lens discolouration

Thanks for reply , yes it seems the darker version lights come with xenon lights but some say they can’t be fitted after. Mine are silver inside and don’t seem to look as sleek. Do you have a pic of yours that you have changed ?

I think the darker lights you refer to are the Bluish tint to the xenon lights on the MK2
If you’ve a MK1 you would have to change the front bumper amongst other parts to make the swap like Pedro says cheapest option is to wrap.47A6AF22-79B4-4D32-9672-A2132331D91C.jpeg

I think this has been discussed before and the opinion was that it was too difficult to retro fit Xenon headlights due to the legal requirements of headlamp washers, amongst other things.

Mine with Xenon’s….

Oh ok so can’t really be done
I’ve been looking at alternatives but struggling to find what’s best
I’ve had the same car with the lights like yours
Not sure what’s best really but I’ll show how they look how
See pics they are ok but want them more darker or more sleek

Check out Spi-Vision or Fly-Eye film online (try YouTube). It's vinyl with holes in it so it still lets the light through but looks black from a distance. Here's mine finished and mid-way through application a few years ago so you can see the difference. 👍

They look good. Bought the film ages ago but have not put it on. I take it you didn't have any issue with MOT and didn't have to change your bulbs for brighter ones?

Thanks. I had somebody put it on for me as didn't fancy doing it myself but no issues at all with any MOT's afterwards and didn't change the bulbs either. But the option of swapping in brighter bulbs is there if you feel like you want to I guess.
