It might be for health reasons that he requires an auto. My sister is considering a RCZ but it would have to be auto and white. She's been looking for a while and they are very few and far between. She requires an auto for health reasons ......

It's a test of wills. Just don't appear too keen and stress that you are willing to walk away. They'll soon come around provided you're ambitious but realistic. Keep us posted and good luck.

Very pleased to say that the deal was done today. They agreed to refurbish all four alloys which had been kerbed and attend to a scratch on the drivers side door

Price was reduced by £300 and got a full tank of petrol too

Not sure when I'm collecting it as work needs to be carried out first but very very happy
Will post some pics soon
Thanks for the advice

Great news, I'm pleased for you. These are the sort of things that I had in mind when I said about asking for things that are worth more to you than they cost them. Proper negotiations  Walking away will always strengthen your bargaining position too. You did well. A good deal is done when both parties are happy with the outcome. So welcome to the RCZ experience

Great news Peter [THUMBS UP SIGN]

You'll soon be experiencing RCZ Syndrome, I'm sure. Well done on sticking to your guns and getting the sort of deal that you wanted.

Congrats on your cool head and negotiating, one thing i would say is make sure the wheels are refurbed properly, ie not the push the tyre back and a quick respray, as this method doesn't give lasting results , plus they get charged around a tenner a wheel to get done from these mobile units as they do so many wheels for them.

We'll done Pete and I know exactly how you feel.

I have just returned from 3 years in Australia and have been searching for the past 3 weeks for my preference.

Nera Black
Back wheels (19")
Sat Nav
Full leather
Lighting pack
Etc
Etc

I have travelled over 1000 miles and driven about a dozen cars and eventually found the exact car I wanted except it had silver alloy wheels. It was also more than I wanted to pay. However for the spec of car it was probably about right. I tried my luck and made an offer (I am also a cash buyer) £1000 below the already reduced by £1000 price.

Had the sales "executive" sales manager and stock controller all in the discussion who all said it was already at trade price (due to the £1000 reduction) and they couldn't move on the price. Decided to walk away and said to the wife they'll ring within the week.... Yep 3 days later they ring I get another £500 off and get the wheels painted black in the deal.

Pick it up tomorrow 9th and can't wait to start spending on it with upgrades  :p

By the way standard RCZ in Perth Australia $67,000 or £40,000 of your English Pounds

Well today was a little disappointing. I was supposed to be picking up my Z this Thursday,
:brickwall: unfortunately this morning I got a call from Peugeot to say that the prep work on my car won't be finished on time ( refurbishment of 4 kerbed alloys and a door that had been keyed)
Won't have the car for another week or so !!
Gutted !!
