Seen a 2010 156 with 144k for £2495 on Autotrader in West Brom with MOT.
Has EML showing and was taken as P/ex.

Even if ALL the usual problems have surfaced it still a decent punt for someone especially if you DIY.

At a replacement cost of £3000 for a rear window that’s a bargain

It’s parts are worth more than the asking price, but you are possibly buying into BIG trouble if you intend getting the thing up and running.

If you have the time & ability, it’s a steal.

Could be an interesting starting point for a track car

Dare I say it .... I'd love to put a more powerful engine in it, or if a v6 merc would fit, slip one of those in.
Even change the drive to rear wheel.

Yeah I know - wake up ! one day, one day.

I suppose it all depends on what code or codes are causing the EML to light up.

It could mean anything from a £50 sensor, through a £5,000 cylinder head replacement to a £7,000 engine replacement.

If one could know the code, it may very well be worth a punt, even if it’s a full timing chain or fuel pump issue.

To be fair you could use the fault as a bargaining tool, especially when it's done 125k miles.
It's all relative, if you're a mechanic with access to the right gear, it could be a cheap fix. But what price would you expect to see for a car with that mileage and age. Not much more is my guess, as for those prices Pete, I'd just buy another engine and fit that.
I dare say that the prices will go even lower with age, and then that's when we'll see people being really radical with them, after all as we all know, the RCZ is a beautiful car with the shape to match super cars. So moding will be done, it's just a matter of time.
Cheers M ....

If the guy is letting it go for that sort of money you can guarantee it ain’t going to be a cheap fix! He’s obviously been told it’s gonna cost a fortune to fix get shut quick! :wtf:

Don't forget it is a 10 plate 156 with 144k on the clock.
What do you think one would go for with no faults? 3k ?
I don't know but it can't be that much.
