Hello
Warning light came on (fault engine repair needed) took it to dealer, apparently its the variable valve timing. Car is on extended warranty. Peugeot Warranty are sending one of their engineers to look at the problem. Sounds like a dispute over payment coming. Car developed fault a few days after warranty renewed. Cars only done 33000 miles 4 yrs old. any one else had similar problem.

Sounds like the infamous timing chain to me.

Fixing it should not be an issue if that's what it is - it's well known by now. I would expect the Technician visit is just a warranty process step that has to be gone through, regardless.
