Hiya.

Transferred a number of albums to SanDisk pendrive.

These play fine via RT6.

Just noticed when I was going the to get out car that the red led on pendrive was still flashing despite RT6 off and key out of ignition.
Is this just residual current in the circuit, or will leaving pendrive plugged in drain the battery?

Wow! Done exactly the same with a sandisk Titanium cruiser drive. I remove it regularly for use indoors/update music etc, but I'm pretty sure I have left it plugged in a lot of the time.

I have never opened the armrest to notice if my light was still on after turning ignition off, although having said that, when I remove it, it's almost always after I have stopped, guess I have just never taken any notice of if the light was on or not (for some reason, the light points down in the armrest).

I will check next time I'm In the car. Maybe when the Eco mode kicks in the USB is powered down?

Would be nice to know.

My guess is that it will no longer draw power once the BSI has powered down. Usually around 3 minutes after you lock the car.

Yep, I think you are right.
Like a sad person I sat in the car with key out of the ignition and the doors locked to check this.
After 3 or 4 mins the light on the USB pendrive stopped flashing - so I am happy to leave it in there now.
Neighbours must have thought I had fallen out with the missus again

Cheers all

Yay, nice one Stagger, saves me looking like a loner, although to be honest, I do just go and sit in the car by myself on occasion, pretty sad really :eusa-think:

Thanks for that Abzynthe & Stagger.
