yep, got it. Wow! Despite the high expectations, it was bigger, more curvaceous, and with a much better interior than I rememberd from the test drive. The garage had it cloaked up when I arrived - which I thought was nice touch - and when it was uncovered more and more things were impressing me: the wheels, the curved bodywork near the wheels, the silver finishes on the interior door handle and door frame matching the main arches; yikes and more. Even little things were impressing me, as I am not used to them: automatic headligths, automatic wipers, the rear view mirror which dims following cars' headights and the fact I effortlessly hooked up my blackberry. But I am most impressed by the satisfyijng, what do you call it, groan (I'm sure there's a better word) from the engine.
And indeed it is nippy. After driving a too old but nippy number until today I was hoping it would not be a step down - whether it be flooring it to 70 or pulling away at a roundabout. But I needn't have worried as it scores top marks on those counts. Did I say the sound was most impressive? Hmm I think that has to go with the double bubble. So unique so much better than a ubiquitous TT! The steering is different to what I'm used to - not worse, but it will just take some getting used to it so I don't zig zag around corners like a learner driver. And, of course, there's no back windsreen wiper. Not that I care, but I just hadn't thought how incompatable and therefore absent that would be with the double bubble. But still, blown away. I can't sleep.
