Hi all - so I’m not sure if my THP200 is missing a bit of underbody trim? I know the petrol doesn’t have the full tray like the HDI(but why !!!??) but my mechanic who checked the car over for me (before 3m warranty expires!) said the two plastic bits either side were flapping about! See picture. He’s cable tied them for now.
Any advice much appreciated.

The petrol cars don’t have a full undertray, due to the extra cooling needed, I have an R and on one side (drivers side) there is a half undertray which covers the sump and auxiliary belts, this bolts to the inner wheel arch, the nearside wheel arch is not supported hence looks like something is missing.

I am not sure with the 200 if it’s the same, but if it is I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s missing as it hangs low and is prone to damage.

If yours is missing be prepared for a big spend, the fixings also are difficult to get, or you could just leave it, difference for me if missing, engine bay tends to be a bit more dirty.

Thanks - this is very helpful! Appreciated. I did see a “half-tray” on Amazon ie not as long as the HDI one.

Just did oil change on my 200 this morning it does have a "Sump cover" but gearbox side is open the wheel arch on the nearside is clamped to the bumper undertray with large plastic grommets pushed into both holes to secure them I bought 3 boxed sets off amazon which has the perfect sizes as they need to be quite long to reach through both panels

Thanks Pedro that’s very helpful. Don’t suppose you could post a link to the plastic grommet things please?

Just discovered the missing undertray! Thought had been left off by the garage as they reported corrosion around the suspension and
put it down as an advisory on the Mot. Now discovered on the forum the 200 doesn’t have one! I also would ask why is that? As the engine bay and exhaust is exposed and the stabilisation bar has no paint left on it.
it does look all a bit vulnerable ; is it worth having a Languard application

If it’s of any use, my Rcz came with the half tray underneath and as I wanted to keep the underside of the engine clean after detailing it I bought a full tray of eBay (brand new aftermarket, fits okay) and a fitting kit. Wasn’t dear, think about £40 + £10 for the kit. I will look up the details when I get back from work tomorrow. Just one point of note, I bought it as a pug 308 to get the full tray, and yes it fits in all the right places as underneath they are the same. Before I bought it I checked by taking the one of my 308 and trying it. Also I have not overheating issues etc after fitting, just a cleaner engine bay.

ps, looking at your picture I think your seals on your oil filter housing have dried and cracked causing it to leak where the filter housing meet the block or your turbo oil feed pipe, both noted leak points and best done together. If you’re handy it’s not an expensive job to sort, tho cat needs removed.

Just before jumping in, check around the front of the rocker cover to be sure it’s not just the gasket, if it is again not an expensive job just use a new gasket and not a ball of silicone sealant.
