Picking up some new floor mats with RCZ badges, got a nice leather covered book about the RCZ too. It has all the original concept sketches etc .

I run the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres. Price is good and they are way much better than the Conti's. A lot stickier and good wet traction too. Less road noise. For now I have the 235/40/19 all the way around, but after I lower the car, in a couple of weeks, I will look at fitting 245/40/19 in the rear.

In what ways "way much better" ?? also what price?

The MPSS's are a lot stickier than the Conti's and so my comfort zone when going into corners is much better. At the end of the day the ratings of the Michelin's are a lot higher than the Conti 3's in all areas. Since I lived in the U.S.A. for many years, I have used Tire Rack for all of my tyre needs and information. Here is the chart showing the results from the Max Performance Summer:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=MP

MPSS's rated #1 where as the Conti 3's are #11.

Now they may not last as long but that is the sacrifice for a better tyre. I found the tyres for @ £250.00 each (online), and that is a very competitive price against the Conti's as well.

My car is having the KW Variant II suspension system installed this Thursday and after I have that tuned in, I will definitely be able to test the Michelin's.

So would you guys recommend getting "winter tyres" down here in the south. I drove my car once in the snow and it had no grip whatsover. I generally am not keen on driving when there is snow on the ground but on this occasion I had no choice. It was fine on the motorway but once I got onto side roads it slid all over the place.

Just picked up two brand new conti's off ebay for £380 plus a tenner postage. Shouldn't cost too much more to get them fitted. 3mm left on the fronts so I'll leave it until the bad weather starts to properly hit and then swap them over. Rears still have around 5.5mm so it will be a while before I change those over.

That's interesting. What are the dimensions of this tyre? How much were they a pop if you don't mind me asking?

^^^^ Check Tyre Traders or Pneus Online websites for the best prices on Michelin Pilot Super Sport, usually @ £250.00 each. As previously mentioned I run these tyres at all 4-corners as they are superior to the Conti's, 235/40/19.

I recall you having posted about them in the last and appreciate your helpful advice! How do they cope in the wet and at cold temperatures? I find the contis distinctly lacking in both of these conditions.

In the wet they handle very well, better than the Conti's IMO. Haven't had any cold temperature conditions, but Michelin's are known to handle great in the snow, no matter what model you have. But then of course when you have better tyres on, they give you more confidence in all driving conditions, I feel more confidence going into corners faster than before.

It is simple the Michelin is above completely in front of continental

Having also modified my train before with triangle of rcz cup I enormously won in precision in the steering wheel

Thanks for another helpful post RCZ-performance! I was interested to read that, as of November of this year, EU regulations will come into play that see tyre manufacturers having to label their tyres to show the levels of:
Wet grip, fuel efficiency and rolling noise. The sticker will look like this:

There's a good article to be found on this here:
http://www.bettertyres.org.uk/why-bette ... egislation

I will be interested to see how the contis fare because, for me, the offer little reassurance cornering at speed and are pathetic in the wet.

I find the stock contis to be a decent tyre. They hold the grip well at low to mid speeds but if you take it a bit too hard then they let go and do so in a kinda bad way. That said I am only 10,000km with them so not had a chance to replace them.
