Hi guys,

Just to let you know of a great online tyre site my father put me on to:

http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/

Just got a pair of Michelin Super Sports 235/40/19 96Y for £330 (delivered), which is pretty darn good I think (way cheaper than Blackcircles or Tyretraders, who were £200/tyre!). Apparently Tyreleader tyre prices fluctuate daily so it's worth watching them over a period and then snapping them up when you think they are low! As Michelin SS were the same price as ContiSport 3's, I decided to go for Michelins as they reviewed better in the wet and quieter too!

...mistral_blue ,,I concur with you about Tyreleader, and have made three purchases of the Super sports from them AND received them within the tracked 48 hour delivery that they state ! A company i'd strongly recommend

I've not tried the Michelins on the RCZ yet (and the new ones are going to go on the rear obviously) so I can't tell you how good/bad/indifferent they are - that said have had Michelin Pilot Sport 2s (previous version) on other cars and they were excellent, I have no reason to suspect the Michelin Supersports should be different... I have Contisports on our Octavia and the RCZ at present, they have also been fine but from what I have read the Michelin is a slightly better tyre (and as it's the same price on tyreleader it's worth a punt IMO).

Note the better rating in the wet and for noise for the Michelins:

Hi all' :greetings-wavingblue:

....ive got the Michelin Pilot Sports on the front and still have the Conti 3's on the back but will fit the some Mich PSS on the rear when they need replacing. The Conti 3's are now an old tyre in overall design now and hence changed to the Pilot Super Sports after reading many comparrison tests and recommendations ,,i believe Michelin themselves also warranty a minimum mileage for them too !!

Oh' and for some reason the Conti's are still expensive despite them being old in design and superseded by the Conti 5's !

+1 for MPSS - have a new set on the rear (and will replace fronts with them too)

Very good reviews and I have also found them to be much quieter than the CSC3's

Anybody used the Dunlop Sp Port MAXX RTs? I hear they are good but don't last long, what are the Michelins like for wear?
