I am trying to identify an new ABS control unit that I have, I was told that it is for an RCZ (2.0 hid) it has two sets of numbers with a bar code, but they don`t seem to correspond with the parts numbers on the Peugeot parts list.

I wonder if I post them here that anybody can help identify it. Physically it seems the same.

Could only find 3 things that referred to ABS.

If you can post pictures of what you have, I might be able to do a better search (also location of where it goes in the vehicle).

The ABS module is located in the engine bay, pretty much in front of the nearside wheel.

1606374380 is the part number you need. How it relates to the module you have in front of you, I don't know...

The ABS `block` is located underneath and to the nearside of the front (N/S) chassis rail, mostly it is well hidden behind the front wheel plastic wheel arch liner and above the front undertray.

I have done a google search on the numbers shown on the unit, and can only find a picture of another Peugeot ABS unit with similar numbers.

There is a part number stamped in the metal block
96 669 574 80 but still no joy.

If you have the old one still you could get in touch with BBA Reman in Rochester I think.

I hadn`t really noticed that number on the casting until I took the close ups! I did put that number into Ebay and found that there were one or two up for sale as for RCZ`s with that part number.

I sent an email to a guy who specialises in ABS units but he just wanted to sell me one of his!

Good idea to get in touch with BBA though.

Some years ago I sent a Vauxhall ABS unit to a company in the Nottingham/Derby area for repair.....for the life of me I cannot remember what they are called? :eusa-think:
