Tricky one that, I don’t think I’ve seen any threads by members with Mk1’s that have had their top mounts replaced, but when I got mine done, they didn’t ask me to bring my car in or anything like that, the only reason they changed them was because I mentioned there seemed to be a knocking noise that might be coming from them.
Thats when they told me there was a notice from Peugeot that “if the owner complains, the top mounts can be replaced under warranty” so if you don’t say anything, they won’t tell you you can have them done. It’s a “notice” rather than a recall.
