Top arches - what are they made of??

Sorry if this had been covered before, however can anyone confirm whether the silver top arches are made from polished alloy or stainless steel? And if the top arches have a protective lacquer on them? The reason I ask is I've discovered a scratch and need to investigate how best to remove this annoying blemish

Many thanks in advance.

They are anodised aluminimum. Not sure what they are coated with but it's not a lot. Whatever is on them is minimal.

Cheers :D that does help, now need to work out whether DA/rotary polishing, or using 1800 to 6000 grit wet & dry will work better to remove the grazing on the arch?

Personally, I would go for DA. Start least aggressive and see what that does for you before wet sanding.

Once again RCZ, many thanks for the tips, fingers crossed I can rectify the marks one the car when I collected it, did mention it to them, but tbh, thought it better to utilise professional care to restore the lustre, it will all be sorted next week during a gtechniq detailing day  :D
