Tire pressure + engine fault alarms

Yo, Daniel from Chile here.
Today I got a very strange engine fault alarm. Driving home today (110km aprox) the “low pressure on front tires” alarm popped up, I got home, changed my clothes and went to refill my tires and guess what? the “engine fault” alarm popped up My face changed (to a despairyone), got to check and refill the tires, and then, both alarms vanished . I take my beloved Z to a small trip (searching for any misfunction) and nothing happened, no alarm, no less power, no nothing.
Does Anynody has ANY idea of what happened? (Tomorrow I’ll drive it again and update the topic)

Turned on my baby this morning and the "engine fault alarm" was on again, didn't come to work w him because its a long trip, I'll check w OBD this afternoon

When you got the tyre pressure alarm, were the tyre pressures actually low?

Just thinking with random non linked alarms, it could be a battery issue. The Z is known for random faults when the battery is on its way out.
Also, water ingress in the boot lock is also known for weird electrical issues.

Just a thought.

Yep, there was low (3-4psi each).
Im thinking about some battery issue, the engine felt as everyday, no less power, no strange noise, but it was hard to start the car, like “battery is dying” stuff.

My tyre sensors don’t give an alarm for just 3-4 psi down. I have only ever had one alarm (other than when I had 2 new tyres fitted to the front & it took @ 24 hrs for the system to reset itself) when I did get an actual alarm, the rear offside was @ 10 psi down.

So either your sensors are more sensitive than mine, or it was a false alarm triggered by another fault, and just a coincidence that your tyres were a little low in pressure.

I had to top my tyres up yesterday after warnings that more than 1 tyre was low.

I hadnt used the car over the Christmas break, so that may have contributed.

Both rears were at 28 PSI. Fronts were 30 PSI. Put them all up to 32 and warnings disappeared.

It is worth noting that tyre pressure sensors batteries are supposed to last only 5 years. If you have low voltage on the sensors, this could affect sensitivity.
Just a thought.

Hmm, good point Mick mine are coming up to being 5 years old, so that could be a factor. I also appear to need something doing to my right rear, as it seems to be losing @ 6 psi per week. No obvious nails etc still on original Contis but I can’t seem to get below @ 4 mm tread :wtf: (on 3rd set of fronts)

Update:
The tyre alarm never popped up again, but the car started to drive strange (less power and hard start in the morning) the last 3-4 days, then the "Check engine" and "Engine fault: please repair the car or you will die and we will laugh" on the screen its on again, when i Get to the service of a friend, the alarm vanished in our eyes, the OBD II Scanner didn't show anything wrong.
2 Days of the same shit until we found the alarm on with the Scanner and it says P0087 error.
I'm Driving a 2013 200THP beast.

I'm reading on the forum and most of the people resolve the thing with a new HP Fuel pump, is that the only issue that could help w the p0087?

P0087 is indeed low fuel pressure. It could be other things like the sensor, but all instances I know of have required the pump replacing. A new pump design was introduced in 2014, so that says something about the pumps.

If you code reader and associated can log data, you may be able to rule out the sensor. PM me for more info.
