Hi Ian, no you don’t but you have to remove the engine mounting so a trolley jack is required to steady the engine, also a good quality brand of timing tools are required to lock the engine correctly.
I only ask because I got the car back after the timing chain was replaced. Now the exhaust is blowing by the manifold and the car is down on power has anyone got any ideas as to what is causing the lack of power?
Also the engine management light came on but my diagnostic tool doesn’t register a fault.
