Hi, I have been away for a while and back now to ask for some help!!

I am seriously thinking about changing the RCZ and I looked at the Hyundai Veloster Turbo SE at the weekend and I really like the look of it. What do you think? Do you know anyone who owns one?

Your opinions valued as always.

A former RCZ owner and continued member on here has one. I'll see if I can find the thread for you.

Yeah bee has the top of the range one (before the Turbo model came). He likes his, it's a gorgeous bright yellow. You wouldn't really miss it ;)

Hi Ryan long time no hear :( but l wouldn't do a veloster for a rcz simples saw one or two far too ornate looking and fugly from a couple of angles but that's just my honest opinion facelifted rcz....lol :eusa-think: or a Sciroco Gt dsg 2.0 tfsi

I tried a Veloster before the Rcz it does look nice and I was certain I was going to get one the back seats are useable I liked the panoramic roof and all the electronic driving aids (toys).

This was going to be my dream car until I drove it, a total disappointment when I arrived back into the showroom my partner asked what was up I said I'm not sure took it out for another go with her in the passenger seat.

Her verdict was it felt cheap I disagree with that but there was something wrong.

I took the Rcz out for a test drive the week after, when I arrived back she said its the one isn't it I said how do you know
Because you are beaming from ear to ear ........enough said

I've been eyeing up the matt grey one too!!! Unfortunately the top of the range one doesn't come in diesel :(
I like to stand out a bit from the crowd and I think the Veloster certainly would do that, I don' tknow why there aren't more on the road, Hyundais in general are becoming increasingly popular.

I reckon in black, particularly, it looks like the love child of an Audi (front) and batmobile (rear)!!!

That was exactly like me with the RCZ. As soon as I sat in one and started her up, I just thought to myself "I HAVE to have it". It's going to take a pretty special car to make me feel like that again.

I know why you don't see many .......it's because when you test drive one the whole experience isn't pleasurable you feel detached almost like playing a video game.

Ryan. I suggest that you drop Bee a PM. He's a nice chap and would gladly share his views of the car with you. I do know that it has not been faultless, though I don't recall the details. (no surprises there then, I hear from the back)

Hi all thanks for the responses, all good as always.

I do like the look of the new RCZ, but I am afraid I don't think I could settle for less than I currently have spec wise and at the moment I can't afford £30k + :( I realise that the Veloster is not an RCZ but having seen the Turbo version in the flesh and having sat in it, I have o say it looks and feels very nice and the spec is great. Of course I need to drive it before deciding but the performance looks very comparable with the RCZ diesel.

Having read up on the matte paint I have decided against it I think. Whilst it looks lovely It looks like I would have to wash it more than twice a year, and would hope that it does not end up in dealership as much as the RCZ so could not rely on them to do it :D

Ye. We lost a few things following the "upgrade" We even lost the very lengthy and detailed thread on Detailing by RCZ1 following the site upgrade

That's a shame.

Yeah when I logged in yesterday I thought I was in the wrong forum :eusa-think:
