THP 156 to 270 R

Hi all,

I'm currently building a 270 "R" out of a 156 donor and missing a few bits namely the intercooler pipes and original dump valve.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket kit? Forge tried to sell me a 200bhp kit which is clearly wrong. I've been to Peugeot but they're having a laugh with their prices .

Hi and welcome to the forum, I would have thought you would have to upgrade the standard intercooler for a larger unit if your going for 270bhp, also a bigger turbo too, I’ve boom looking on eBay at the gfb DV+ dump valve check it out here https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 1977596435

forge's kit for thp 200 is bigger than standar i/c for 270

so why is this clearly wrong?

Hi I am using the 270 intercooler.

The forge kit is wrong because the 270 uses a completely different turbo and has an inline dump valve as standard

I wasn't clear enough perhaps but I'm not modifying the 156 enginen I'm using a donor standard 270 engine and box with modified 270 ECU.
