the usual 18 month itch

Had my RCZ 18 months now and I 'm fighting with myself to not change it as I get bored after 18months every time I have a car.

Financially it is not the right time for me and I am on a 3 year PCP so the sensible approach is to keep it.

Maybe I need to spend some money customising it to get me excited again, make it faster maybe, add tail pipes, custom Sat Nav???

I need to do someting as I am feeling very flat about the car at the mo.

I have a GT 200 BHP, white with black wheels, mirrors, grill ETC.

I always fell ilke this after a year and a half.

HELP !!!

You are not alone! I too am fighting the demons of 18 months - 2 years. :(

Don't get me wrong I still love my RCZ but I am always like this. I've never had the same car in succession and as much as I love my RCZ I worry that it would not feel like a new car, if I got another.

I have some cars in mind and have been researching them but as yet no been to any dealerships or test drives.

Please help us both :)

what do you have in mind?

I promised the wife I would not change this one for 3 years so spending money on it might be the answer but on what.

I do think it is a shame the performance is not better, I am feeling a bit slow in it now.

To get the same looks and buzz of ownership as we have had from the rcz I think an expensive upgrade would be required cars I thought where the BMW z4 Audi s5 coupe BMW 3 series coupe merc slk amg due personal circumstances I had to cancel my merc slk amg for the moment a remap.window tints or alloy wheel upgrade may tide you over till the its time to say adios rcz or wait till the rcz facelift arrives :) :eusa-think: :eusa-think:

Wot about the new merc c class coupe. For RCZ money u'll only get a 4 pot engine. But a bit different and I've only seen 1 which happened to be a AMG black series in white looked fit

Haven't quite got the itch yet, though just had my fuel pump replaced as it conked out a few weeks ago (service great, replaced no problem and given a 107 as a courtesy car).
It did get me looking at other cars on the market, and I really cannot think of another car I would want more than the RCZ. If Peugeot turned the SR1 into production I reckon that would be a good shout but would be interesting to see what other people would have instead if and when they decide to change...

I'm not sure an expensive replacement is what I'm looking for - it's not really me.

I'm not going to post what I'm considering because they will probably be slated but needless to say I'm the only who drives my car, so I don't need anything big, 2 seats is more than enough for me and I don't want anything rear wheel drive because they are no good in winter. I just like something that's fun, not overly common on the road and a bit individual.
