As I said I love the look of the RCZ and the drive is good too, but would I recommend one to a friend? No I would not! The car has to many problems fact, if I'd had just one RCZ I would of thought maybe I was just unlucky but I've had two RCZ's, ok the dealer has sorted out the problems everytime with no cost to my self apart from time I've missed from work and the petrol I've used going to and from the dealer when I've not had to be towed in, thank god this car has a warranty it would have cost me a fortune so don't buy a secondhand RCZ without a warranty. Now lets talk about residual values my 9 month old GT 156 now books in at £15,000 a loss of 10k in 9 months so how much will one be worth in 3 years?

I have zero issues with Peugeot or indeed my car. Peugeot have been an absolute joy to deal with (shame my dealership haven't taken a lesson out of their book). Depreciation is a concern but not one I hadn't expected.

My issue is with us as collective consumers. We have far more power than manufacturers would have us believe and, collectively, we could shake things up. In the UK we put up with far more than our continental or transatlantic cousins do. Take the shoddy customer service we grudgingly put up with in restaurants for example. This simply does not happen in the US or Canada to any significant extent. I'm calling for a full on consumer revolution. Viva la revolucion...

Should this happen I would expect ALL car manufacturers to go to much greater lengths to test all parts and all vehicles.
With a price tag to match  Remember it was only post WW2 that the likes of us could afford to buy a car. Adolf/VW are to thank for that. Let's just put it all into perspective and realise that a lot more RCZ's are in use, than members on this forum. A lot of members have "found" this forum because they were searching for an answer to a particular issue that they had. The problems are few and Peugeot are rectifying them as they crop up

I know that I feel a lot happier in the knowledge that Peugeot actually do give a damn
Are you on the Peugeot pay roll OO58RON? They don't give a damn about you they just want to sell cars, you need to visit specsavers and change them rose tinted spectacles your wearing :geek:

:text-goodpost:

When we first got the RCZ I too thought Peugeot UK were going to treat us " Special" they emailed me straight away when I posted on here about the brake calipers being rusty and sorted it out with the dealer to replace them. But since then nothing !!!!!!

I speak only from personal experience. I have bought and owned many new cars in my life and I have never ever had personal intervention from the manufacturer in getting little niggles resolved, that the main dealers were dragging their feet with. It is for this reason and the fact that I am now on my second RCZ with only minor niggles, that I say what I do.

Why do you always have to be so negative ?

Eh :eusa-think:
What was negative about that post ??
Was a true statement of an actual event. If anything, quite positive cos I've paid myself out and myself is very happy

You won't be able to "bully" me off this Forum to the Toilets RCZ1.
Quite surprised that you would actually try

:Moony: ;)

Maybe you could put that money towards that oh so lovely Audi and then we could all live happily ever after :)

Eh Again :eusa-think:
Can't recall posting that I was thinking about buying an Audi.
Only post I've put up was about the Focus ST.
Hmm.....now that you mention Audi though, they do have a very nice range and the A3 is coming out in a new shape in September 2012 :auto-car:

No issues with either of my RCZs that I have owned - or the 2 dealers I have dealt with . - Walkers of kings Lynn & Pat Lewis in Diss. In fact I've got to say I'm dammed impressed. I've had BMWS & Audis mostly, but the service I have received from peugeot is much better by far!!
Maybe people get less than perfect service when they piss and moan about everything and treat the dealers with no respect? C'mon £25000 is not a lot of money for a car, particularly one that looks as good as ours. The car has been fantastic , drives ace, performed EXTREMELY well in a head on collision and lived up to my expectations . Only today I was stopped yet again by someone wanting to know more about the car. All " I " could say from " my " experience was to get one ASAP!

I've done 30000 miles in a year in mine and I've had a great year of driving!

Just dropped in for a quick vist after picking up the wifes new Z4.

I can agree with MattRCZ its the biggest percentage loss I have lost on a car from buying from new.

I have been lucky I only had a new engine and the famous wing mirrors but as quoted by Matt RCZ the amount I got for my 18 mouth old RCZ was a bit or a kick in the plums.

So with respect anybody thinking of buying new think again if you are only going to keep it a couple of years. Buy a well speced out demo or nearly new.

It got the looks being different.

Mines coming up to 2 years old and nearly 18k miles and I'd have to agree with you :) Been thinking about cars a lot lately and even been to look at some new ones but it suddenly struck me yesterday. All the cars I've been looking at are not a patch on Pearl. She looks better than all of them hands down AND she gives me everything I need - economical, performance when I want it and a great joy to drive.

Call me clairvoyant probably not :eusa-think: or lucky or i just used some common sense probably a bit of all3  but i knew this would be the case with residuals on the rcz especially with high specced cars :wtf: I Fortunately dont have to worry about this but then again i have lost out on my ideal specced rcz i would have liked one with the vision pack,200 bhp, satnav, soltice alloys but these options added to a leased rcz aint viable as this would have added at least £200 a month to my existing £289  so its take your choices payz your money at the end of the day

would i lease a facelifted rcz ...................???only if the standard spec and power is lifted ie from 156 bhp jumps to the 170's bhp and xenons and sat -nav become standard oh and only if the facelift is to my liking as i hate looking at the rcz face on..........yuk
