Re: Swissvax UK Car Care Centre Open Day - Saturday 7 July 2
There was little nibbles, Sparkling wine and bottled beer a plenty. Not too much in the way of demonstration really. Washing technique was shown, however they snow foamed and then used the Swissvax washpuddle to clean off the foam. As opposed to me leaving the foam on for a few minutes and blasting it off with the pressure washer. They had a Porsche Boxter that had only done 15000 miles but has clearly had a hard life and an owner that could afford not to look after it. So the rag top had had half the roof cleaned to show what a state it was in prior to their work as was the badly scratched bonnet. So on the day they machined the scratched half of the bonnet to show how they achieved the results that were clear to be seen on the already prepared section.
A 10% discount was offered on all purchases, but despite this generous offer my wallet remained in my pocket. Viv Nicholson eat your heart out
They do have a fantastic set up going there and I strongly expect to be calling upon their expertise at some future date, as my detailer is now the manager of their "detailing studio" and so not sure if he will continue to do his own work or refer it all through the Swissvax HQ
It was a very good turn out and the weather was fantastic. Lots of nice cars to ogle. Porsche, Noble, Ferrari, Audi R8 to name but a few. Even my Pug received quite a few admirers.RCZ1 said:Were there many people there Ron? What were the demonstrations like?
