Hi All,

New to forum so please be polite.

I've previously worked I the motor trade for years and I'm about to buy a nearly new (2014MY) RCZ but want something a little different and have started looking at different styling options such as irmscher, feline and musketier dynamic kit.

Just wondering what people think of the different kits and any previous experience regarding fit and quality would be great.

Welcome to the forum Paul :wave:

Probably one of our forum sponsors and supplier of all things for the RCZ. RCZ Performance will be best placed to answer your questions.

Have you had a look at their website ? Lots of stuff on there to interest you.

As long as you don't build some spaceship kinda thing i'm happy. There are Honda Civics for that. Keep it classy!

I'm with Mac on the Musketier kit! It's a bit tacky and tasteless in my opinion and really not fitting of the RCZ. Your other choices are far superior in my opinion.

if your looking for classy mods i'd take a look at Lainey's or Abz's Rcz, both differant and both pure class with out being over the top.

I would say avoid the feline kit quad exhausts from my personal experience they rattle constantly, but will say quad exhausts finish the car off nicely on the rear in my opinion

on the styling front that is completely up to you its got to suit you not us.

To say avoid the Feline kit because you experienced constant rattling does seem rather strange to me. Many members have this optional extra on their Z's, me included, and have had no issues. Poor installation of yours is no reason to suggest poor quality of the item itself.

I understand that people have had positive experiences, I was just giving my personal experience with the system that is all

When it comes to mods its all down to personal taste... however I would hasten to add that you avoid anything thats Fibreglass when it comes to bumper extensions etc... they thend to look shabby quicker than GRP or Carbon Fibre.

I would start with some nice looking wheels. Minimum 19" and for my taste 20".

For the exhaust you can also mount the one off the Rcz R

As previously said, its all down to personal taste :) You make it look how you want it to look. There isnt a vast variety of aftermarket parts for the Z, but things can be adapted or custom fabricated to suit what you want. :)

Cheers all and thanks for the friendly welcome. Slight change of plan. picked up a black RCZ last week but have decided not to change the styling due to warranty issues. I enquired about the quad exhaust at the main dealer but they are no longer available as a dealer option and if I have it done elsewhere it will invalidate the warranty so it looks like the only thing I will be changing is the name on the log book. :lol:

By putting on a new exhaust you will not loose the warranty. I bought a new THP200 last year and the following :

* Bigger intercooler
* air filter
* complete exhaust line including catalyst
* recirculation valve
* 20" wheels

I had some problems with the car :

* watertemperature sensor
* problem with gps

Both of them where taken care of by the warranty.

The warranty issue very much depends on your local Peugeot garage.

On my first RCZ the Timing issue (total upper rebuild in the end) was taken car of and I had a non standard backbox.

but I have had cars where they have said no because its non standard.

Keep your old exhaust in the garage and whap it on if they grumble.

I think the warranty would only be affected if the problem was in some way related to the modification. For example a new rear exhaust cannot make a water temperature sensor fail. Furthermore Peugeot themselves used to sell a quad exhaust specifically for the RCZ (and currently fit one to the RCZ R) so they cannot argue that it will invalidate the warranty. However things like re-mapping etc. might be a problem. I think that dealers of all franchises have a knee jerk reaction against anything that they haven't supplied!
